The CheckbookNYC Budgets dataset can be downloaded using the CheckbookNYC API tool. People can use this tool to design their own snapshots of NYC Budget Data. The resulting dataset can be saved as a file, or published by dynamically updating XML feed of the data. This feed enables users to build your own web applications and widgets for your website.
This dataset differs from other public procurement datasets because it focuses on New York City's budgets.
The documentation available covers the glossary of general budget terminology. However, the budget dataset Advanced search terms (i.e., Agency, Department, Expense Category, Year Adopted etc.) are not included.
