The CheckbookNYC Contracts dataset can be downloaded using the CheckbookNYC API tool. People can use this tool to design their own snapshots of NYC Contract Data. The resulting dataset can be saved as a file, or published by dynamically updating XML feed of the data. This feed enables users to build your own web applications and widgets for your website.
This dataset differs from other contracting datasets because it focuses on New York City's contracts. The amount spent to date is tracked, which is a valuable field that few datasets track.
The documentation available covers the glossary of general contract terminology. However, the contract dataset Advanced search terms (i.e., Payee, Vendor, Contract ID, etc.) are not included. Note that PIN and APT PIN descriptions are included.
CSV - The datamap applies to the Contracts download in the CheckbookNYC Contracts dataset. It is worth noting that the Website has a number of additional fields including "Number of Solicitations per Contract" & "Number of Responses per Solicitation."
